At four experience points, the baroness will tell you how the 14th-century fortress transformed into a castle. You will also learn why there is a Protestant church at the beginning of the castle avenue, how the castle became a monastery, and, finally, how it was destroyed.
The walk along the castle avenue is only 150 meters. After that, you can explore the castle park or its surroundings at your own pace along the beautiful lime tree avenues. From the castle park, you can also easily reach the dike along the river Maas. Continue your walk through the floodplains or the 't Sohr nature reserve.
