Castle ruin Blitterswijck

Blitterswijck Castle was destroyed near the end of World War II. Only a few remnants are left but an information boardprovides visitors with a description of the castle. Read the story about Blitterswijck Castle at www.venrayremembers.nl.

Today the marksmen’s club of Blitterswijck, the St. Antonius Abt Guild, is located on this site. They rebuilt the old castle gate, which was festively opened on 10 November 2019. Plans exist to further excavate and uncover the remains of the castle.
