From 26 June to 9 January 2022, the exhibition 'Venray Resurrected from the rubble' about the reconstruction years after the Second World War can be visited in the Venrays Museum.
Due to the fighting between the Allies and the Germans during the liberation of Venray on October 18, 1944, many buildings were badly or irreparably destroyed. Many of these buildings have been restored or renovated. The community was disrupted, but she too showed its resilience.
The exhibition shows unique photos, objects and a special film about the period from 1946 to 1970. In this exhibition you visit the museum and the tower of the adjacent church.
When you purchase an admission ticket for the museum, you will receive a walking route through the center that focuses on the reconstruction of Venray after the Second World War. This walking route can be walked on your own.
A city walk through the rebuilt center accompanied by a guide can be booked by appointment at the tourist office.
More information about the routes can be found here.
